This made me chuckle :-)
It should really make you sigh with despair :-( From several days ago it was
painfully obvious that if any 'high impact' weather did develop out of this
situatiuon in this part of the country it would be the higher parts inland that
would be worst affected, not the low-lying coastal areas, hence my comment that
you have quoted.
