Default Penzance - Very big sea now, prom still shut at half tide. 72mphgust. Great excitement on the weather front.

Biggest sea in Mount's Bay for a couple of years now. Still impossible to drive (and certainly not walk!) along the prom at half tide - everyone's being turned away. There are still some pretty big pebbles being hurled across the road. The next 2 high tides are a concern (21:00 & 03:30 approx) as the swell's got a long way to build yet. At least the peak wind is still forecast to be around this afternoons low tide.

The weather event of the autumn/winter for Penzance by a big margin, with noo weather warning. Though there is for the much lighter winds predicted for tomorrow. Wind has gusted 70mph in the most exposed spots. http://www.landsendweather.info/met/mainframe.htm

The sunshine is making it look spectacular https://www.minack.com/a-living-theatre/webcams/ You wouldn't think it's low tide about 14:30.

Needless to say, a few extreme windsurfers out and about.
