I'm so used to calling the indoor ones geraniums, and I know its wrong.
Old habits die hard (but not the pelargoniums hopefully!)

The best thing about this summer, gardening wise, has been the lack of
growth on our inherited privet hedge. Its only had one proper cut this
year, and will need only a light trim before winter. Bliss.
Quiet here now the swallows have gone.
