Using the drop-down menus on the left brings up all sorts of interesting
maps, all of which are zoomable.

A marvellous resource which will probably consume far too much of my time
:-)

As another who loves maps, thanks, I have bookmarked this site. Are you aware
of http://www.oldmapsonline.org and also https://www.charlesclosesociety.org/.

I have a complete set of 1:50000, 7th series 1" and my oldest OS maps are
dated ~1914. My wife says I'm the only person he knows who curls up with a
good map - but obviously there are more than just me.

Thanks. I was aware of the former but not the latter. Bookmarked now!
