Distinct lack of growth up here as well. Broke the mower on about it's
second outing mid July. Have only needed to cut the grass once since
then with the strimmer. In previous summers, pre-mower, I'd strim it
once a fortnight.
Just collected the new crankshaft for the mower from a Horticultral
supplier in Carlisle. He also said that growth had be far less this
year.
Quiet here now the swallows have gone.
Small flocks of LBJs (Little Brown Jobs) fillting about up here, one
such identified as a couple of dozen Goldfinches.
