Default If the sun went out?

. The planet would no longer
be bound in a gravitational orbit and would just travel freely through
space.

semi serious question

If this happened, the planet would just fly off at a Tangent to its

original
orbit (we'll ignore gravity from other planets etc for the moment), if

this
happened, would we all fall off?

Trev.

Yes, and if other planets are heading in another direction (such as any
planets that are near conjunction with the sun when viewed from earth) I'm
sure the gravitational affinity would be broken by velocity?

Our own planets gravity would keep our feet firmly on the ground of course.
But I do think the lack of solar orbit and related forces would maybe speed
up the demise of the temperature in the earth's core to a slightly greater
extent than others do.
