The main rain band never got here but it was extremely close, looks like just
a couple of miles according to the radar. East Bolton would have seen rain
but west Bolton stayed dry!
Yes, we're just on the wrong side of the edge of the rain band here in
Tideswell. I was supposed to be playing golf at Codnor, near Ripley, this
morning but they caught the real heavy stuff and the course is waterlogged. As
a result, the golf is cancelled. Given the weather, I'm not sorry :-)
The Cat & Fiddle webcam looking NNW towards Bolton shows quite reasonable
conditions. Winter Hill is currently clearly visible, about 55 km from the Cat
& Fiddle. There's some low stratus patches over the intervening low ground.
