I've just (09:15) read the SW forecast on the MetO site. The 1st line of which reads

"A largely dry start, but rain will quickly spread northwards."


By 09:45 the rain of the last 24 hours had cleared NE and the sun was out.

So after a wet start a lovely day on the cards.
