As in March easterly winds brought the wintry weather at the start of
the month and cooler conditions for the middle and very end of the month.
Overall April was a wet month, particularly in the first week, when
there was significant snowfall.
By the end of the third week the weather had turned temporarily warmer
with increasingly sunny days ( 19.2C on the 19th and 21st with 13.7
hours of sunshine on the 21st). However these higher temperatures did
not last.
