The of-the-day figure for global sea-ice extent deficit is still
increasing. I cannot access Charctic figures till tomorrow on someone
else's pc but graphically, so approximately from

For 09 May 2018 about 230,000 sq km less than the satellite-era record
low of 09 May 2017, about 1% of the total on the day absent.
Pretty consistent lesser slope this year, compared to 2017, how bad will
it get, considering the lack of MYI in the Arctic.
