Sorry, storm Katie was in 2016, of course, not 2018!
some previous June low pressure records from

8 June 1843Â*Â*Â*Â* Phoenix Park, DublinÂ*Â*Â*Â* 975.3
28 June 1938Â*Â*Â*Â* Lerwick, ShetlandÂ*Â*Â*Â* 968.4
current MetO synoptic for 06Z 14 June 2018 has 972mB central pressure
somewhere near Lerwick
So it is potentially going to be a bit of a blow then?
50mph predicted here which is a lot for mid summer.
There is apparently a yellow warning of wind for the north but the new
BBC website makes it so low key I barely noticed it!
I think I will lash anything down that might blow around. Not much I can
do about the trees though which are in full leaf at this time of year.
Watch out for any dodgy diseased horsechestnut branches - they can snap
like carrots under gusty wind loading and without any warning.
