Indeed. It is quite wild outside here in North Yorkshire even down in
the valleys. My plastic covered greenhouse has already taken flight.

Topcliffe nearby is showing a steady 30mph with gusts to 50. There are
still leaves on most of the trees so could be a lot of damage.

Winds higher up are about 10mph more at Fylingdales.


Rather grim in Northumberland - 90+ mph gusts reported in Berwick. Fallen
trees blocking main road through my village! Yet it's been mostly sunny,
dry and mild as at 1435bst.
