Default Another terrible forecast!

Today was supposed to be a cloudy start then sunny spells by early
afternoon, fat chance of any sun today. Overcast with rain and
drizzle all day. Tomorrows forecast says the same as it did today,
'some drizzle then brighter'............. I wonder!!

The automated forecast for Tideswell issued at 0600 this morning gave
the following hourly percentage probabilities for precipitation:

0700 60%
0800 80%
0900 30%
1000 20%
1100 10%
1200 10%
1300 10%
1400 10%
1500 10%
1600 10%
1700 10%
1800 10%
1900 10%

In reality, there has been slight rain and drizzle for much of the day.
Not amounting to much in the rain gauge but very wetting, nonetheless.

A number of people in Tideswell and Buxton have given me their thoughts
about crap weather forecasting using very basic Anglo-Saxon expletives!

At the very least, these automated forecasts should come with a very
strong health warning. Ideally, they should be discontinued. The models
just aren't good enough yet.
