Default [OBS] Tideswell, Derbyshire - Thu 10th Jan 2019

This is a comment on yesterday's report from Norman (I'm putting into today's comments so as not to mix the reports up too much).

Norman wrote....
It was a mostly dry day but there were brief slight snow
showers at 0930z and again at 1100z. Max temp 2.1°
and it felt cold in the breeze. An excellent
afternoon for a walk, though.

Yesterday afternoon I took a walk down here in mild Surrey. It was grim - it was cloudy, temperature 5°, mean wind 6 knots. I think I'd failed to notice how much the cloud had thickened after a sunny start. But I think what I was actually feeling was the breeze - after so many days of more or less calm conditions it was unusually noticeable.

Julian Molesey Surrey (currently only just above 0 and already cloudy ahead of the warm front, cars still icy. Not going for a walk yet!).
