Default Weather station recommendations

Hi All,

Am sure plenty of you on here have a weather station - am just wondering whether there is a reliable, fairly cheap robust brand that transmits wirelessly to an indoor base? Would be good to be able to access the data on the web when I'm away, too.

I have a Davis VP2 - it is going strong still after almost 12 years. I would recommend this brand, although it is definitely not cheap. I think that cheap and robust are mutually exclusive - although popular opinion suggests that some of the cheap brands are becoming more robust. There are some entertaining threads on the topic over at wxforum - here's one for starters: https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=35926.0 (although it appears to be more about consoles, it does contain useful advice in some (10%?) of the posts.
