Down your way this week (nr Zennor) and jolly sunshine to be had all day long.
And what a sunset this evening...

Noticed a picture on your website of the 'Gry' in Penzance harbour, caught my eye because I used to work for the company.
Apart from that easterly breeze, which should hopefully decrease slowly tomorrow, another good day.
It's surprising how many people who stay in St Ives never venture along the north coast to Zennor & Pendeen, a totally different world.

Cape Cornwall & Sennen Cove today (visited Levant Monday). Well windy up by the
chimney!
Bet it was. Fresh / Strong SE winds are often strongest (in Cornwall) near the north (offshore) coast, all rather surprising & certainly against the forecasts.
I posted this about 2 or 3 days ago
https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=...er/1d9BNvM9I44 in the hope of some explanation.
If the SE wind is lighter, then a north coast sea breeze circulation is able to develop. If the sea breeze front stays just offshore it can result in near calm conditions on north coast beaches. At Sennen you can see attempts by the sea breeze to get ashore, by the ruffled patches of water. If it does reach shore you feel the temperature drop!
(Wrangled a tour of Gry a few years ago 'cos I'd previously built a scale model
of her - see under 'Model Boats'. I see she's had a new paint job since then).
She was due to be replaced by the 'Mali Rose 2' years ago, but that boat proved an unmitigated disaster that led to the resignation of the Chairman & the 'Return of the Gry' (It was renamed the Mali Celeste locally!)
