20mm of rain for the event so far in Penzance & Bosullow, Gusts to well over 60mph at Gwennap Head where it reached F9. A biggish swell now coming from an unusual direction into normally sheltered spots. As a result flooding in Falmouth (Swanpool area) & other spots (some overtopping at St Ives at high tide.
It has been pretty bad, strongest wind in Penzance since before summer. F8 on Scilly since 08:00.
So gale, heavy rain, flooding from the sea, no weather warning. (England not affected?)
