Wettest February on record here (2014 my records began). Mean
temperature and sunshine total close to normal. Maximum temperatures
were all below 10C, the first time this has occurred here (2014).

Rather wintry from 10th onwards with snow falling on 16 days and full
snow cover (0900 GMT) on 6 mornings. Particularly windy mid-month.

mph, 15th 57 mph, 16th 61 mph, 17th 59 mph, 21st 56 mph, 22nd 55 mph.

10th am heavy snow showers with thunder.

December 2019 and January 2020 were both mild months but February 2020
saw the mean temperature close to normal. The season as a whole was
milder than normal but not as mild as 2019 and 2017.

Although February 2020 was a particularly wet month the total for Winter
2019/2020 (306.5 mm) was less than the 462.9 mm of Winter 2015/2016.
