20C @ Cardinham 10:00, and at Lands End. Cooler at my Penzance site due to the stagnant air and shade from trees at this time of year, so it's a bit slower to warm. 17.7C here @ 10:00. I'm in a tree protection area, so the lungs of the planet are more important than me getting a rather more accurate temperature! Shame the Amazonian rainforest will soon cease to exist, I doubt is a couple of sycamores shading my screen .
Same here Graham at this time of year. I have several ancient oaks at
the end of the garden and they cast a shadow until mid-morning over the
entire garden. And in calm conditions like these, the whole garden sits
in a pool of cool air. The difference between the front and the back of
the house until mid-morning can be quite stark.
Two-thirds through and what a lovely month it has been so far. Warm,
very dry and with above average sunshine. Sadly, all-change from
Wednesday onwards as summer starts to fade into autumn.
