Default No more sun 'til Christmas and drought

A thought: If we had sunless days from now until Xmas we would still have
above average sunshine amounts for the year 2003. Pennine reservoirs are at
very low levels - if the rain does not come soon we will have drought
restrictions in place too. Fields were like dust bowls when I went for a
walk in the Aire Valley yesterday.

The dry spell is getting quite severe around here now - just 12mm rain
in this part of Norfolk since the end of July.

The farmer next door was ploughing the field last week (the one you can
see on the camera at www.ivy-house.net) and he may as well have been
ploughing the beach - it's just sandy dust.
A good gale could whip up some major dust storms with the autumn fields
now bare soil (dust).
