Default The weather in May 1932

Hi everyone! My gran swears blind that just after my late dad was
born in May 1932, there was heavy snow in Britain!!!!!! I have looked
in William Foggitt's book of Yorkshire weather and there is nothing in
there about it - so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can someone tell me that she
isn't imagining things! Thanks very much

You need to tell us where, Martyn, although one might infer it's
Yorkshire. There were a few wintry showers in May 1932,
chiefly over high ground, but the main characteristic of the
month was heavy and frequent rain, and record-low sunshine.
Could it have been May 1935? There were some heavy snowfalls
and severe frosts during that month.
