High pressure (1040mb) lies to the east of the UK over the
Scandinavia. Low pressure (990mb) lies in the Atlantic to the south of
Greenland. Winds across the UK are mostly moderate
south/southeasterlies. Most areas will be mainly dry and fine whilst
the far southwest may be cloudier with a few showers. Temperatures
will be close to or above normal in many parts, but perhaps turning a
little cooler in the south. Beyond this there is very little change,
but winds continue to back more to a easterly quarter and may bring in
slightly cooler air, and at the same time pressure falls a bit in the
south, so maybe some showers developing here.
