I feel that we are more concious about global warming than the experts
think. There is no doubt in my mind that things are warming to a greater
extent than the so called experts predicted. However we must not be fooled
into thinking this is how things will always be, as any cold spell will
feel to be exceptionally cold, and warmer spells will feel warmer.
About a month ago I was in Crete, and to me it was swelteringly hot, but to
the locals it was cool to the extreme.
Also I believe that the SSTs have a lot of influence over our climate and as
we all know they are above average this year, especially around our southern
and western coasts, so this could account for some of the records being
broken.
However it is November and whatever the temperature it is still autumn and
it still gets darker earlier every day and taking that into account nothing
has really changed. Enjoy while it lasts.
