Much of the UK has reported higher temperature maxima for Friday compared

to Greece, as the northeasterlies have brought temperatures back to normal
here, whereas the continental flow over the UK has been quite warm

indeed.

Very inverse situation indeed, Yannis. You expecting snow over higher land
and where you reports temps below 20 C on November 6th, at your site,
Norway noted extreme high temperatures Tafjord 21,6 °C!!
(Smashed the old record of Nov 1984, 18,5 C).

Tingvoll a 19,3 C and Alesund 18,7 C; could be Athens :-)).
Remarkable the Norwegian MetOffice stated, as the sun is currently so low
above the horizon. "A summers day -- many went of a swim and children
playing in the street dressed in shorts and T-shirts; but also wearing their
winter-caps!!"

This is a typical example showing that the UK usually has relatively mild
weather when it comes to wintry weather in central Greece. Other examples:

I remember this cold spell rather good, as we skated in the open for about a
week!!
Sometimes there's indeed a east- to southeasterly flow over Holland that
brings cold to us; but somehow the layer of cold air is that shallow it
won't reach Britain. Like 8 - 17 december 2002 when there was about the same
situation. And also cold plunge over Greece :-)

So apparently its possible: here's to "snow for you and ice for us :-) !!

Clear skies about the last couple of nights; but coincidentely, now the
lunar-eclips is on: overcast :-((.
