Thought I'd look at my sites precipitation statistics and anomalies for
the year, and then compare them with the stat's on the Met office site that
Martin linked to yesterday;
http://www.metoffice.com/climate/uk/...3dryspell.html
The main points I noted were that we seemed to have a wetter May and
September than most, but a much more dry October (compared to average).
November has been very dry so far - but I get the feeling that's about to
change.
Month 2003 Total Anomaly from eLTA
January: 81.4mm 90%
February: 28.0mm* 32%
March: 29.0mm* 47%
April: 49.0mm 98%
May: 109.8mm* 231%
June: 53.0mm 106%
July: 66.2mm 110%
August: 17.4mm* 29%
September: 72.4mm 103%
October: 26.6mm* 24%
November: 5.6mm 16% (to 10th)
