This forecast summary is my *PERSONAL OPINION* of how the weather may unfold
next week. I will take no responsibility whatsoever for any actions arising

from
its use. It is provided freely in the spirit of freedom and the great love

for
meteorology that I personally enjoy and wish to share freely with others.

================================================== ===============

Summary valid for Sunday 16/11/03 to Saturday 22/11/03
TOI (time of issue) Friday 14/11/03 2030 UK local time This summary is

based
on a quick appraisal of the GFS, JMA, ECMWF, UKMO, FAX, and ENS (NCEP

ensemble)
labelled charts available from the superb

http://www.wetterzentrale.de/topkarten

Sunday looks like being a fine day in most places after a few early showers

in
the SW. On Monday and Tuesday Atlantic depressions will run to the north of
Scotland bringing rain, then showers and fresh to strong west winds to

northern
Britain where temperatures will be close to normal. Southern areas look like
staying mainly dry and mild but still windy. Later on Tuesday and during
Wednesday and Thursday a cold front is expected to move slowly south down the
British Isles. Winds will become strong to gale south of the front and there

is
likely to be a prolonged spell of heavy rain associated with the front over
England and Wales. The front should finally clear southern Britain by Friday.
North of the front it will become colder and brighter as winds turn
northwesterly but with showers in exposed parts turning wintry over high

ground
by Saturday. Next weekend all parts look like turning brighter and much

colder
with scattered wintry showers, lighter winds and frost at night. Confidence
moderate to high, but lower for implied cold front timings (could be slower

if
waves develop).

The trend for the following week beginning 23/11/03 is for a much colder

spell
of weather to set in with snow in places, mainly on hills and near windward
coasts, and widespread frost at night. Confidence moderate. Low confidence in
milder weather returning by end of month.

This forecast has been brought to you from Met Office Dartmoor :-)

Cheers,

Will.

Will,

Nice to see you have adopted the TWO approach with your 2 week forecasts. Can

we take it that TWO now stands for The Will Oulook.

LOL I like that Rob. I'll be doing a "Chrimbo" forecast next :-)

Actually I don't do forecasts for special occasions, just as the weeks come and
go, easier that way.

Will.
