Yes, "cupra" is quite correct, in fact the slopes at Swinhope Head in
Weardale are quite good and reliable, I understand. I think the Langdon
Beck site in Teesdale has closed down, though, perhaps more to do with
locals complaining about roads being blocked, not by snow, but by
skiers' cars!
(Best to keep it quiet, like we do about a lot of things up here -
especially quality of life).
Still very dry in Copley, btw, 37mm (50%) this month and 505mm (69%) so
far in 2003.
