High pressure (103omb) lies over Central Europe and ridges into the
Atlantic, where another centre (1025mb) lies to the west of Iberia.
Low pressure (975mb) lies to the northeast of Iceland, with another
low (990mb) developing in the Atlantic. Winds across the country are
mostly light south/southwesterlies. Many parts will be mainly dry with
some sunny spells, but overnight fog and frost are possible.
Temperatures will be close to normal. As we through next week,
conditions turn more unsettled as a deep low moves in off the Atlantic
bringing rain and gales.

freshening southerlies in many areas. Most parts will be mainly dry
and bright but turning cloudier from the west. 850hPa temperatures are
close to +1C in many areas. Forecast 2m temperatures range from 0C in
central and northern areas to +10C in the far southwest. Beyond this
conditions turn milder and very unsettled from the west.

close to Iceland. Winds across the UK are mainly light southerlies in
many areas. Most parts will be mainly dry and bright. Temperatures
will be close to normal. Beyond this conditions gradually turn very
much more unsettled from the northwest as low pressure moves closer,
bring strong winds and rain.

nearby continental Europe. Low pressure (1000mb) lies to the west of
Iceland. Winds across the UK are light to moderate
south/southwesterlies in many areas. Most parts will be mainly dry and
bright. 850hPa temperatures are close to +2C in many areas.
Temperatures will be close to normal in most places. Beyond this
conditions gradually turn milder and more unsettled from the west.

Britain and into nearby Europe. Low pressure (1000mb) lies to the west
of Iceland. Winds across the UK are freshening southerlies in the
west, light and variable elsewhere. Most parts will be mainly fine and
dry. 850hPa temperatures range from +1C in the northwest to +5C in the
east. Temperatures will be close to normal. Beyond this conditions
remain rather settled, with only the northwest seeing any unsettled
weather.

High pressure (1033mb) lies just to the east of Britain. Low pressure
(10013mb) lies to the west of Spain, with another low (1008mb) in the
mid Atlantic. Winds across the UK are light south/southeasterlies.
Most parts will be mainly dry with overnight fog slow to clear in
places. Temperatures will be close to normal.

Summary:
More unsettled conditions look set to gradually spread across the UK
from the north and west during next week after a quiet and settled
start. However, timings are still very uncertain, and the JMA run
prefers to keep high pressure close by for most of the time.
