is 15.7C on 27 Dec 1983.

And I remember 27 Dec 1983 very well.
I walked up a hill (Scolty) near Banchory (to the SW of Aberdeen) in
absolutely beautiful warm sunshine.

Aberdeen area winters are second to none in Britain. Warmth like that one
day, yet a few days later, cold, crisp with blue skies and 50 to 100 cms of
lying snow.
