While I was taking these an avalanche struck an open piste. All the
professionals in town had to turn out and search for victims, but there
was nobody underneath.

Chinook: A warm descending wind that Calgary uses for snow removal instead
of planning and budgeting
Sorry it's a local thing.
How about sending some of that snow to Vancouver.

Melts the top of the Snow which refreezes and leaves you with the base
for Avalanches after the next snow.
Those Pictures just look COLD.
