No Warning barriers? Humm, how many nonlocals found themselves driving a

In that place it isn't dangerous because your car can't wash downstream, but if a vehicle gets stuck the road's impassable until they can get it removed - so the Chelsea tractor's just being selfish. If one bypasses a barrier and gets stuck in a flooded wash they get the privilege of paying ALL the costs for their recovery/rescue which often runs into thousands of dollars. Crazy Ed |

The posts are painted red-white every foot, and there's a little painted label indicating the depth, so people know how deep the water is. THe swales are dry 99% of the time, but when a HEAVY rain hits, they fill up FAST, and DEEP. Still, don't underestimate the power of stoopid people, alone or in groups. |
