Thanks guys, but we're lucky enough to still have some old-style HSTs where you can open the vestibule windows - in fact you have to, to open the doors when you get out. It was a warm humid evening, the most comfortable way to ride was to stand in the vestibule leaning on the open window watching the landscape go by. At Slough we had to slow down for transport police chasing some fool around on the track but my pocket camera struggled with the light: [ Section: 1/1 File: z_GWR_0029.JPG UUencoded by: Turnpike Integrated Version 5.02 S ] sum -r/size 40318/181125 section (from "begin" to "end") sum -r/size 14246/131437 entire input file -- Sue ]:(:) |

It's "perhaps the most beautiful historical industrial building still standing in Slough" though I think the station's more attractive. There are some good views on that lineside but it isn't easy to take pictures of them. -- Sue ]:(:) |
