Where is the rain?

Hey,I don't want to spoil the party but what happened to rain in the
Fall?
It's already October and there still isn't any real rainfall in the
Mid-Willamette Valley of OR.
Is this global warming's effect?
I don't know about you but I'm gettin' sick of looking at ozone
blue haze.
What goes????

Where is the rain?

Well, I cant comment on the US weather, but over here in the UK, things are pretty much the same.
We had the hottest summer in history...which of course we complained about (always more of a social thing with us brits) Followed by huge thunderstorms..but not were I am, we've only had two or three storms this year, and all of them have been rubbish, just a couple of flashes of sheet lightening, and a few drops of heavy rain..then nothing.
We have rain now, but it doesn't seem to be lasting the several days at a time we are used to. Now we seem to get a really heavy downpour all at once rather than days of grey drizzle, which means our rainfall is still average over the month even though it is falling noticeably different.
In fact, its become more noticeable in the last 10 years, our summers are hotter and dryer, and our winters are much wetter. The Autumn we are going through now, its considerably colder and dryer than any I remember in previous years. I also bet we don't get much snow again this year, but we will probably have flooding in Jan/Feb.

Ahh, there goes my morning rant. Its actually a nice but cold and sunny autumn day today. :)

Maybe it's my new Hummer H2 or my 5 2-stroke jet-ski's... BTW, the Hummer
gets a bit more power if you modify the engine management system to bypass
all that BS environmental stuff.

Welcome to Oregon, it's usually dry in September and most of October.

Aren't you the same wack job warning about the same thing during the Reagan
Adminisration?

It's because all of the rain has been centered in the eastern half of the
nation, at least, since LAST October, but i think the pattern is changing my
friend. We're due for much drier conditions here in the East, so your rain
will come, just a little late, I'm sure, but maybe not as much as you WANT.

Funny how Global Warming only gets attention during Republican
administrations.
