Will US OS WMR968 work in Europe?
Hi,
I am planning to buy the Oregon Scientific WMR968 in the US because of the big price difference. In the US they go for about $350 while in europe the price is around $590. I have some concerns however. I sometimes see different type numbers on the WMR968. For instance the european version is labeled WMR968 N And I've seen others with the WMR968 E markings. So this might indicate that there is a different version shipped to it's market. I am pretty sure the units display can be altered to the metric system and to degrees Celsius, but will the radio controlled clock work with the signal transmitted from Frankfurt, Germany? Is this time syncronisation signal a standard over the world or do the US and Europe versions differ? Thanks for your help. Fritz |
