Must be depressed, nothing but a weak tropical depression, looks like
hurricane season is over. The rest of us are celebrating, hurricane mongers
are going on antidepressants.

Well yes, things are a little boring, tropical cyclone wise.

I had a fit of hurricanitus and entered the NHC's forecasts and actual storm
positions for the "big 4". I computed the errors, and plotted the
distributions. (It was a way to pass the time...)

I like to determined just how far off the predictions were from track
without regard to time, but, speaking of time, I ran out of it for this
project.

No we're not. We're simply taking the pause that refreshes while
gearing up for the upcoming blizzard season! Long live snow!!!

I was actually doing some late season skiiing on St. Helens the day the
erruption occured in May of 1980. Fortunately, I was able to outrun the
flow of lava and make it to saftey unscathed. I had to ski over the tops of
many trees and over what was left of Spirit Lake, but it wasn't all that
bad. The only bad part was I had to stop and ski back up the mountain at
one point because I lost a ski pole, that was a little tough.
