has anybody taken the online weather courses from rapid weather??? Bruce, May I suggest... Penn State's Certificate of Achievement in Weather Forecasting. The program will consist of 4 courses (mid-latitude, tropical, mesoscale, and special topics forecasting). Primary assessment will be based on an online portfolio (case-studies, analyses, post-mortems, etc.) that you will build on during each course. The first course (Meteo101) is available for summer enrollment, with Meteo241 (Tropical Forecasting) offered in the fall. Here's some more information... http://www.e-education.psu.edu/gened/meteo101/ Online information on the entire program is still forthcoming, but I will be happy to answer any questions. I also learned that farts are indeed flammable, especially if you eat Taco Bell and get struck in the ass by lightning.
