I've been keeping track on hurricane Epsilon, it is forcasted to become
a depression soon. But I don't know, this one looks like a fighter to me. I just hope that is dissipates soon in the middle of nowhere or we will have a very bad christmas. Just venting a little about it. ![]() The Hurricane looks drunk! Strange: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/archive/2005...graphics.shtml KV |

I just hope that is dissipates soon in the middle of nowhere or we will have a very bad christmas. The UK generally has a storm around Xmess, in which at least one ship runs aground. I don't know if this is due to festive spirit or unduly severe storms at the time of year. We haven't had one for a year or so, maybe they are all being expended down south and earlier in the year these days? The Hurricane looks drunk! Strange: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/archive/2005...graphics.shtml To use a somewhat "in" phrase, the reason is: "We are having the wrong type of" fog. But it's still fog -or mist, so there is appropriate cyclonic behaviour to match in the more southern reaches. Maybe a little off topic: If you know anyone with a touch of arthritis or lumbago, check with them to see if they are "feeling the weather". Let me know how you get on. |

My Grandmother had a (dont know the English word for it) pain in the foot whenever the weather was changing and she could always tell my that there would come snow soon. I could always ask here what weather that we could look forward to. She had the worst pain when a thunderstorm was nere! Strange! She is still among us, but she got Altzeimer and doesnt speek much anymore. :-( KV |

There might even be a symptom connection with a lot more illnesses. Who can say that's not so? Would the foot problem have been corns or bunions? http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=bunions |

I think that must be about right, WL. Many old people get that illness, but not all can predict the weather of course! :-) Kaare |

I think we are going over from Cyclones to Seismic storms now. So I
think I will try and find a new home page. Interesting to note the affect of the settled weather in the UK so remarkably easy to study now that there is a massive oil depot fire beng allowed to burn itself out in the home counties. I wonder where the major storms are that are due with this foggy weather. It is official that we are in between two weather systems according to the BBC weather overview last night. The presenter pointed out -immediately after issuing that statement, that Australia has temperatures of 40 degrees (C obviously, though he never said.) Not unusual in Australia In mid summer, I imagine. None the less it is interesting that North America should be suffering (?) a cold spell at the same time. |
