Default TRMM - Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission

First spacecraft in NASA's EOS (Earth Observing System), returns long-
term data on rainfall and energy budget measurements which will be
used to better understand global climate changes and their mechanisms

You may not know this but..

I am the last person to cause contention among posters on Usenet,
however I feel I aught to point out that sending up a satellite to
measure something you don't know is a problem is not quite what these
things get money from governments for.

.....Hmmm... I may have to rethink that considering the dominant force
in the US gubment is a chimpanzee.

But anyway, on with the mission:

"TRMM, one of the first spacecraft in NASA's EOS (Earth Observing
System), returns long-term data on rainfall and energy budget
measurements which will be used to better understand global climate
changes and their mechanisms
First ever satellite to find the intensity of hurricane, finds out
where it would rain most and the intensity.

This helps the scientist to predict accurate results.

Its used for monitoring atmospheric changes in ocean, not for the
daily rain measurement. It helps to study the intensity of Rainfall,
how the rainfall occurs, which produced the most rain."

No can't see OO OO yah! signing off on that one.

However since we don't understand the full monty with rainfall data,
the machine could be useful. It would be a great pity to start off
with a misconception though. It would cloud the atmosphere around the
mission.
