Default Any Weather Associations Left?

the way. So, if it's a regional organization, it must involve New
England. Thanks in advance for any advice or help with this.

You didn't specify Southern New England or Northern New England ... or whether
you want in the vicinity of OKX/NYC, ENX/ALB, BTV, BOS/BOX, PWM/GYX, CAR.

The co-sponsors of the Fifth Southern New England Weather Conference (November
6, Brookline MASS,
http://www.erh.noaa.gov/box/announce...SNEWxConf.html) beside the hosts
at Clay Science Center (Dexter&Southfield Schools) are
* NWS BOX (http://www.erh.noaa.gov/box/)
* the Blue Hill Observatory Science Center (http://www.bluehill.org/);
* the Boston Chapter of the American Meteorological Society;

(http://www.ametsoc.org/amschaps/newd...StateAbbrev=ma)
* the University of Massachusetts-Lowell; [Dept of Met & AMS Student Chapter]
and
* the Southern New England (Taunton) Chapter of the National Weather
Association
(http://mywebpages.comcast.net/hydromet/nwa1.htm).

Both NWA and BHO take anybody who pays their dues and have regular programs,
and I think you the Boston Chapter of the AMS is likewise without joining AMS
first, not sure.

Then there's Skywarn, for folks who want to defy Mark Twain and actually do
something about the weather. (http://users.rcn.com/rmacedo/skywarn.htm
[probably changing to Comcast url soon? I hate ISP renaming!]
http://www.erh.noaa.gov/box/training2.shtml and
http://ares.ema.arrl.org/mod.php?mod...104&page_id=11 )
Sorry, you just missed the only scheduled off-season Skywarn retraining
session in Southern New England (www.boxboro.org; T-storm training is usually
late spring).

Cheers,

Bill
