How is MOS data calculated?

Hi,

Can anyone give me some references or links to information on how
MOS data is calculated from raw model output? I would be infinitely
much in your gratitude. Thank you very much in advance.

Google is our friend. "MOS" + weather gives 200,000 hits, but
fortunately the second one looks like it may lead to some useful
information:
http://www.nws.noaa.gov/tdl/synop/mos2000.htm

A little poking around on that site can lead you to
http://www.nws.noaa.gov/tdl/synop/am.../mcemrfpap.htm
and probably other interesting papers which will hopefully
answer your questions. HTH.

Regards,
Russell
