tropical depression Marty
I have been watching this storm for a few days. It is quite strange
how perfectly it moved up the gulf of California, the odds of that happening are probably pretty slim. Apparently there is a lot of wind shear weakening this system, although the high water temps seem to be keeping it stable despite the shear and terrain disturbances, at least for tonight. I have always been curious to know if the gulf of California is capable of strengthening or maintaining a powerful hurricane. (or even creating one) The water temps in the north part of the gulf, where Marty is right now, can get up to the 88 or 89 degree range. |
