Anyone know if and where I might find a map (online) of
distribution of aurora borealis. I am in Sweden and wanting
to know if this is actually best place to image this from
the ground. Based on location of some detectors around the
World, I would guess Alaska is superior, based on more reports
from detectors. So question is if there is a map of some kind
that shows global distribution over some number of years. Of course,
I would be impressed if there is some trick to predict movement of
this phenomenon, like predicting which way a storm front will travel.

Thanks! That was nice start. I do not see any data for mean of
past years, etc, but from the looks of it, it forms a pretty
nice ring. At the moment, it seems in fact strongest over Alaska.
