Default The primitive mechanism

Excuse me for being blunt.

The problem with the primitive mechanism for cyclical seasonal changes
based on axial tilt originated with 17th century cataloguing
astronomy. In order to fix the celestial sphere to terrestial longitudes
for navigational purposes, John Flamsteed temporarily altered the
relationship between the Earth's axial and orbit motions as they were
understood in principles up to then (1676).

The astronomical fudge which combined axial and orbital motions into an
unethical single sidereal motion (with two references for the Earth's
axial rotation !) was based on variations in the Sun's position against
the Equator. This fudge is known as the 'Analemma' and looks like this -

http://www.analemma.com/Pages/framesPage.html

The noon Equation of Time correction was completely mangled so that
these cataloguers could render observations to the calendar system
whereas the ancient Equation of Time was a facility to convert the
total length and variations in the natural unequal day to the equable
24 hour clock day.

The pre-Copernican Equation of Time correction was adapted by the early
heliocentrists to the newly discovered principle of indepedent axial
rotation at 15 degrees per hour and 24 hours/360 degrees in total. As
there is absolutely no relationship between apparent change in axial
tilt to the Sun or orbital plane ,the description of the components of
the Equation of Time as expressed by the 17th century cataloguers is
bogus, harmful and ultimately the greatest form of intellectual
vandalism ever known.

The Equation of Time is a consequence of Keplerian motion and the
change in orbital orientation as the Earth,or rather a location rotates
back to face the Sun directly (noon). The minutes and seconds which
reflect the Equation of Time correction serve the purpose of a 'leap'
correction does in the calendar system however the Equation of Time is
an annual loop system with no links to the calendar system except that
the equable 24 hour day precedes and generates the calendar system as a
secondary and complimentary addition .

The analemma website above transfers the changing relationship of
axial and orbital motion,as indepedent motions to an ugly and
disgraceful single sidereal motion with all celestial motions assigned
from the Earth's axis/Equator.

To this odd sidereal astronomical justification are added the
climatological considerations which are a consequence of a changing
orbital orientation passing through fixed axial orientation, the global
asymmetry between the six months from Sept to Mar and Mar to Sept is
lost to scientists who insist in retaining the hemispheres as a basis
for annual changes.

The technical points, while being intricate, are never difficult but the
utter lack of appreciation for the size and scale of celestial and
terrestial phenomena seems to be the only obstacle I know of.Other than
that, the bluffing and blustering plays well to a people who probably
would like to know why temperatures appear to be on the rise and more
hurricanes. No chance that climatologists will answer with sincerity ,at
least that is thew way I see it.
