Judge Rejects 'Intelligent Design'
Associated Press December 20, 2005 11:21 a.m. HARRISBURG, Pa. -- "Intelligent design" can't be mentioned in biology classes in a Pennsylvania public school district, a federal judge said Tuesday, ruling in one of the biggest courtroom clashes on evolution since the 1925 Scopes trial. Dover Area School Board members violated the Constitution when they ordered that its biology curriculum must include the notion that life on Earth was produced by an unidentified intelligent cause, U.S. District Judge John E. Jones III said. Several members repeatedly lied to cover their motives even while professing religious beliefs, he said. --- Here is the judge's decision: http://www.pamd.uscourts.gov/kitzmil...miller_342.pdf -- Eric Swanson --- E-mail address: e_swanson(at)skybest.com :-) -------------------------------------------------------------- |

I just finished reading the decision. It is a TOTAL
victory for science over pseudo-science. Long about page 60 it even says that science must consider only natural, and not supernatural, explanations. (DUH!) This will surely be applied to the Kansas state school board, which has tried to redefine science to include the supernatural. This decision is that it is not the result of an "activist judge." This decision is based totally on president, not activism. NOW, if we can only get the fossil fool pseudo scientists into court! |

This is the topic of his new book, "The Flight of the Creative Class: The New Global Competition for Talent." In it, the author makes the case that shifting societal values, the rising costs of urban living throughout America, and the enthusiasm displayed by those countries eager to foster a creative environment for the talented, have changed America's role in the global competition for talent. Author Bio: Richard Florida is also the author of "Rise of the Creative Class," Washington Monthly's 2002 political book of the year. He is currently a public policy professor at George Mason University and a Senior Fellow with the Brookings Institution in Washington, DC. Publisher: HarperCollins 10 E 53 Street, 20th Floor New York, NY 10022 If science is a religion, can I claim to be a preacher and call my house a "temple of science" and then stop paying property taxes, like a Christian Church? I'd like to participate in all those other non-profit benifits, just like the Baptists and the Catholics. This could get fun, unless the Fundi's go on a "Sci-witch hunt" rampage. Why not? You mean a Supreme Court of the US, with two, or more,
judges nominated by George W. Bush? The judge in this case, U.S. District Judge John E. Jones III, was nominated by George W. Bush as well. This decision relies entirely on on president, not judicial activism. None of the facts in this case are seriously in question, many are taken from the court record or are recordings on TV. It will be interesting to see what the defendant's bar will question in it for appeal. Though we may see other attempts at public school takeover from religious extremists, I think this is the last gasp for creationism in public school biology classes. It's all over in Dover! |

Once the legitimate American Public get effective representation in the U.S. court system, evolution will be banned from all public classrooms as the Luciferian inspired communist, anti-man clap trap that it is. Praise God for giving the American Empire a great man like George W. Bush as our Christian leader. -- "We must create a economic crisis in order to ensure that there is no alternative to a smaller government." - Bush - Imprimus Magazine 1995. "Throughout his term, Bush has implied tax cuts would starve the government, paying for themselves by causing budget deficits that, in turn, would place heavy pressure on Congress to lower spending." - Jeff Lemieux - Senior Economist - Progressive Policy Institute. You fail to realize that with all the shouting about Judicial activism of so-called Liberal Judges, such as Clarence Thomas has been much more activist in his decisions than the so-called Liberal element! Returning America to it's Gody Christian roots is not activism, it's justice and glory.
