A new modeling technique devised by atmospheric scientist Kerry Emanuel
of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and colleagues indicates
that if the planet continues to warm, hurricane frequency will go down
globally, although storms are projected to become more intense in some
locations.

Unfortunately we had some recent La Nina COOLING; that will
probably lead to a HEIGHTENED hurricane season this year- A. McIntire

There can be cold air aloft in the fall (someplace) and in the
spring (someplace), so if a tropical system moves under really cold
air, look out.

Trying to predict hurricane frequency or intensity a year
in advance is sheer crackpottery, and always will be.

Reliable predicting hurricane development a week in advance
would be very useful.

Won't help. Bush is still completely incompetent and ignorant.
