McIntire There can be cold air aloft in the fall (someplace) and in the spring (someplace), so if a tropical system moves under really cold air, look out. Trying to predict hurricane frequency or intensity a year in advance is sheer crackpottery, and always will be. Reliable predicting hurricane development a week in advance would be very useful. |
