And how many cross-posts?

Ian

I can't tell, and don't know a good way to search for
cross-posts. I just posted what Google provided, and Google
doesn't include any means I can see of refining the search.

Ok.. my back of the envelope calculation method. Reset my newsreader and
killfile only all crossposts.. Repeat for each of the numbers given below.
That gives figures essentially for the last month.

Answer 601 cross-posts out of 1036 posts. So David Christainsen is as
consequence of his vandalism causing 58% of all posts to SRQ to be about
subjects possibly of relevance to:

sci.geo.meteorology,uk.sci.weather,alt.global-warming,sci.environment

to also end up on a forum not intended to be about:

a) sci.geo.meteorology
b) uk.sci.weather
c) alt.global-warming
d) sci.environment

but rather to be about

a) Quaker faith
b) Quaker practice
c) Quaker dialogue
d) Quaker experience

That is why it has quaker in its moniker, and not meteorology, weather,
environment, or global-warming, as many seem to imagine, with its long
description being "The Religious Society of Friends".

soc.religion.quaker The Religious Society of Friends.
sci.geo.meteorology Discussion of meteorology and related topics.
sci.environment Discussions about the environment and ecology.
uk.sci.weather [no description available]

The earliest post was April 28th 2010. Today is May 31st 2010. So in 33 days
we have seen 601 crossposts. That is more than 18 cross posts a day. A
further 139 articles were attributable to David Christainsen but not
cross-posted. Collective the percentage is now 71.5%. Now add in Kelly
non-cross-posted 78 posts who rarely posts to any except to in one way or
another call David Christiansen on his behaviour, and SirDavid's
non-cross-posted 61 posts who behaves likewise, making 879 posts or 85%.

Obviously others including myself in that time frame have also objected to
David Christiansen's gross abuse of soc.religion.quaker, making the final
estimate of the noise David Christainsen generates on soc.religion.quaker
at at least 90%.

This is beyond trollish behaviour on David Christiansen's part, and grossly
insensitive behaviour on the part of:

a) sci.geo.meteorology
b) uk.sci.weather
c) alt.global-warming
d) sci.environment

in failing to remove soc.religion.quaker in their collective responses to
David Christiansen's trolling for the attention he so craves.

Follow-up's set, on the grounds that discussion of David Christiansen rightly
belongs on a mental health newsgroup.

I grow exceedingly tired of SRQ. I may leave without comment or warning.
It seems to me there is nothing of what SRQ once was that has any hope of
being recovered.

If any on other newsgroups wish to reply to soc.religion.quaker, please remove
other newsgroup's before submitting that reply since most on SRQ kill-file all
cross-posts.

Ian
