According to reports heavy snow shut Edinburgh and Derry airport as
forecasters warned of a week of severe conditions.

The UK's weather is determined by whether the jet stream is to the North
or South of the country. It blocks the cold weather from the Arctic so
if it's to the North the weather is warmer than if it is to the South.
It tends to get jammed so once it's in position it stays there for some
time.

Why won't you give a prediction for the 2010 global temperature?

You seem to think that cold temperature in the UK means the global
temperature will be low, so what is stopping you?
