Currently (0748) minus 5.9 DegC in Shiremoor.

Cool to say the least and my wife's sending me out to clean yesterday's snow
off the car.

From about 7am today the overnight rain turned to snow and is very much
starting to settle. This is helped by the quite large flakes at the moment.

Bit of a bizarre set up here today.

Just had a wet hail shower with hail sizes up to 3mm and a temp of 7.5 degC.

Currently now sunny 2/8 and 9.5 deg C with gust's up to 25 mph.

It is all about the humidity. Power lines give off a hum when the air is
over about 70%. This can be heard from many miles away. I have a house
next to them and am suppressed at the difference...

I'm sitting in my shed in Shiremoor with thunder all around me. We've had
torrential rain and hail here.

Early morning (3am) snow started here in the NE UK. About 5cm lying on all
surfaces. Snowing ATM - quite heavy but small soft round "flakes" (not sure
what the proper name would be).
