Diurnal Temperature Range

Quite a cool night here in North Sussex - Daily Maximum of 22.1'C here
yesterday and an overnight Minimum of 7.7'C gave a diurnal range of 14.4'C

Just inspected the back edge of the roof of the thermometer screen and
noticed 2 parallel lines of yellow/brown deposit not sure if this is the
result of local pollution or from a possible dust...

Following on from an earlier post, just analysed some Pressure data for the
early hours of this morning (28th) Thunderstorm here at 00:07utc. Pressure

Heavy Rain here this morning - Total 09-09z = 31.2mm. Having checked the TBR
data appears heaviest between 03-06z
Max Wind gust over past 24hrs (up to 09z) = 29Kts.

Anyone notice the rather strange pinkish glow in the sky this evening.
Appeared clear blue skies then as dusk approached the Western skyline upto

Soil or Earth Temperature

Please could someone clarify correct definition of Soil Temperature and
Earth Temperature.
Is it Soil Temperature for depths up to 20cm and Earth Temperature below
this depth?
So 4 & 10cm Soil but...
