Met Office do a nice satellite image of Europe:

I'm with NTL. Met office site suddenly stopps being accessible. :c( One

Seems to me that some of these spring thunderstorms can produce very
loud bangs! Louder than summertime.
A few minutes ago there was a flash of lightening. I had time to get of
my seat and open...

I have a 1969 Guiness Book of records and it said Huddersfield in W.
Yorkshire was the thunderyist place in the UK. That does not ring true
as I live near there and storms always seem to be over...

I'm near Leeds and I've been looking at that brewing storm in the
Midlands. As usual it's going to slip into Lincolnshire! They get all
